A weekend of worship & fellowship with other teens from the Inland Empire!
Retreat Theme: Unblemished
The weekend will focus on lessons from the book of Malachi.
Camp Speaker: Mike Thibodeaux
Mike is excited about coming to retreat and share the truths of God's word with the students. He says, "We live in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation. But, God is still to be honored, feared, and esteemed by His people. How we respond to the One who loved us and redeemed us matters. He deserves all of our love, all of our lives: unblemished, undivided, totally surrendered. His people are called to live simply and purely devoted to HIm. In Malachi's day, the people of God had despised their birthright as His chosen people. They offered blind goats, lame goats, and sick goats: blemished offerings. God was not pleased! This retreat - Unblemished - is a call of God to faith in Christ and unblemished, faithful living for Christ. It's a weekend to remember: "[Christ] died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf." (2 Corinthians 5:15)
Worship Band: The Incandescent
"The Incandescent" is a band of three young men from the Pacific Northwest. Ryan Armstrong, Kellen Rowe, and Andrew McArdle originally came together in the fall of 2010 with an idea for a new worship band that not only used music as a tool to minister and edify, but to also use the platform they achieved to outreach and impact the world for Christ.
The three members are by no means new arrivals to the Christian music scene. Both Armstrong and Rowe played previously in the Christain jam band "Drawing Two". McArdle has spent time working for recording artist "Holly Starr" and plays guitar in the CIC band "Counter Culture".
In the fall of 2011, the three came together to officially create "The Incandescent" and pursue it as a full time ministry. For more information on the band as well as up to date information on their ventures, be sure to follow them on twitter: @iglowproject
